New Frontiers Update
March 6, 2026
New biomes, survival systems, and a complete world overhaul mark a new era for Strayed.
New Frontiers Has Arrived
Welcome to New Frontiers — the beginning of a new era for Strayed.
This is one of the largest updates the game has received so far. It expands the world with two new biomes, introduces new survival systems, and includes a major overhaul of core systems and visuals. From temperature mechanics to improved performance and smoother controls, New Frontiers lays the foundation for the future of Strayed.
A Completely Rebuilt World
New Frontiers introduces a full overhaul of Strayed’s terrain systems. Terrain shaders, vegetation, rock formations, and biome assets have been rebuilt from the ground up, creating a richer, more varied world to explore. These improvements were also designed with Quest hardware in mind, improving visual clarity and making the environment easier to read during gameplay while maintaining smooth performance.
When Strayed first began development, the world consisted entirely of a single forest biome. That environment defined the game’s earliest versions and laid the foundation for the survival experience players know today. With New Frontiers, that original biome has been fully reworked with updated terrain materials, vegetation, and environment assets. Alongside the introduction of entirely new biomes, this refresh brings Strayed’s forests to the next level.

New Biomes
Desert Biome
Expansive dunes and rugged rock formations define the new desert region. While resource spawns remain consistent, the desert features a higher concentration of sulfur nodes, making it ideal for players preparing for combat and raids.

Snow Biome
A harsh frozen landscape where survival becomes significantly more difficult. Dynamic snowstorms and extreme cold create constant pressure. While resource nodes are abundant, surviving the environment requires proper preparation.

Temperature & Comfort Systems
Temperature
The new temperature system introduces environmental survival pressure. Without proper clothing, cold environments will gradually damage you over time.
Stay warm using:
- Cloth clothing
- Campfires
- Furnaces
Comfort
A new passive healing system tied to heat sources.
When near heat sources:
- Gain Comfort
- Hunger gradually converts into health
- Staying well-fed becomes critical for survival

Performance & System Improvements
New Frontiers includes a major technical overhaul aimed at improving performance, responsiveness, and stability.
Core systems have been rebuilt, including:
- Terrain rendering
- Player movement
- Item grabbing
- Deployable networking
Additional improvements:
- Terrain asset overhaul across the entire map
- Improved road generation
- Optimized rendering for Quest devices
This update establishes a stronger technical foundation for future development.
Making Strayed More Accessible
With the release of New Frontiers, Strayed’s price has been permanently reduced:
$19.99 → $14.99
As the game continues to grow, this change is aimed at expanding the player base, increasing server activity, and creating a more dynamic multiplayer experience.
Recent Cosmetic Packs
Two new cosmetic packs are now available:
- Heartbreaker Skin Pack
- Scarab Skin Pack
These optional cosmetics allow you to customize your weapons while supporting continued development.
